«Last Breath» is yet another film based on real events that I wanted to talk about. The plot follows a team of deep-sea divers maintaining gas pipelines on the floor of the North Sea. During one of the dives, due to a technical malfunction, the vessel loses control, and one of the divers ends up cut off from the ship at a depth of nearly a hundred meters. His safety line snaps, his emergency oxygen supply is only enough for a few minutes, and help won't be able to reach him until much later. From that moment on, a real race against time begins.

From the very first seconds, the film shows the full seriousness, danger, and importance of what is happening. The profession of a deep-sea diver is one of the most dangerous in the world. Everything that happens in the film looks very interesting. In essence, along with the characters, you get acquainted with a new profession for yourself and see how such work actually goes.

The film is interesting to watch, and there is a lot of tension in it, especially from the moment the main problem arises. You constantly worry about the characters, where everyone is busy with their own thing and there are no good or bad characters. Even more anxiety is added by the countdown of the time a person can remain without oxygen.

This is a film with a fairly straightforward story, without any particular hidden meaning, which simply and without unnecessary pretension tells about a real case, a real problem, and an attempt to solve it. The film's runtime is optimal, so it won't have time to bore you, even if you don't like it that much.

And as for how the film ends, whether it has a good finale or not, I won't spoil it. I hope that after watching, you will get to know the heroes of this story in more detail on your own, because Chris Lemons, Dave Yuasa, and Duncan Allcock are real people, and you can find a lot of information about them on the internet. By the way, Duncan was played by Woody Harrelson, and that's another reason to watch this film.
