Books I Read in 2022

I write my own posts and books, and review movies and books. Expert in cosmology and astronomy, IT, productivity, and planning.

This year was marked by a significant amount of reading. Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, the number of books I read this year continues to decline compared to last year. The long apartment renovation, a shift in priorities to other areas, and, of course, the constant feeling of anxiety that has followed me throughout the year are to blame. Nevertheless, I intend to continue reading 20-25 books each year. As for this year, I managed to read only 22, whereas I had planned for 27.

Among the 22 books I read this year, there were a few works of fiction. The main reason I read fiction was the organization of a book club at work, where we periodically read and discuss different books. While I didn't particularly enjoy the fiction, thanks to this club, I discovered some decent books.

Overall, if I were to highlight the books I enjoyed this year and would recommend (excluding programming books), they would be:

  • Robert Kiyosaki - "Rich Dad Poor Dad"
  • Marshall Rosenberg - "Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life"
  • Carol Dweck - "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success"
  • Robert Sapolsky - "Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers"
  • Maria Garina - "It's Hard to Be a Dad, or the Fun Days of the Borgia Family"

Another distinguishing feature of this year compared to previous ones is that I reread my notes alongside reading new books in the first half of the year. Thus, the trend of reading notes in December was replaced by reading notes throughout the year.

Regarding technology, this year, in addition to the classic and well-known topics, I began to explore quantum computers, neural networks, and blockchain.

Here is the complete list of books I read this year along with their covers.
