General description

The book is a little over 300 pages. It has many code snippets. The chapters are structured as thematic tasks (3–4 tasks per section). Each task has blocks showing what the problem actually is, what the final solution is, and a discussion of the code written. The difficulty level is medium.

Opinion

I'll start with the pros of the book: you don't need to be a big JS pro to master the material in this book. Moreover, if some topic seems difficult to you, you can always move on to another one. The topics themselves don't have time to get boring, and as soon as you've mastered a couple of examples, a completely different branch of JS begins. All examples are accompanied by discussion. Also, one cannot ignore the fact that the book already covers APIs that appeared only yesterday or are about to appear in browser implementations.

Among the minuses, it can be noted that none of the topics is covered deeply enough. There are separate books on the same web components, one of which I read. Despite the fact that about 20 topics are covered, other Web APIs could have been considered, although then the book would have turned out significantly larger.
